Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei

I have stayed in quite a number of hotels, including 5-star hotels (I have lifetime elite status in a specific chain). The Evergreen Laurel hotel is easily the best among all the hotels I have stayed in. Every hotel I stayed in previously always have something that is not ideal but not this hotel. The beds are comfortable, room is brightly lit (which is a big plus and super rare), a lot of good amenities are provided in the room (increasingly rare in post-covid world), shower water pressure is good, the water temperature is easy to set and remains consistent and the sound-proofing is good - I did not hear any noise from my neighbors (the hotel is full). The location is fantastic as well - I stayed a total of 5 nights and every location I plan to go to is easily reached from the hotel, either by bus or metro. There are two metro stations nearby - Songjiang Nanjing on the green line and Zhongxiao Fuxing on the blue line. Both are within walking distance though the latter is slightly further. There are multiple convenience stores nearby, as well as a Watsons and a Carrefour supermarket. The famous Leechi is right next door. The housekeeping standard is impeccable as well. Oh ya there are also coin-operated washing and drying machines in the hotel. I will definitely be back again when I return to Taipei!

Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was big, quite, clean and well maintained. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The location is excellent with a 5 min walk to the next MRT. A lot of coffee shops around, if you don't like to have breakfast every day in the hotel. Also a number of restaurants closed by.

The photographs provided dont do the property justice; it has a more upmarket feel and look. We stayed in the deluxe family room, which had a living area one side and two king beds the other side. They provided waters and snacks every day, as well as toothbrushes, cotton buds, and slippers.

The staff always greet you in and out. It's quick to Ximinding and other areas. Spacious room, good wifi and sound proof. Recommend getting off at exit 4 at Songshan Naninjing (google is confusing) to be closer to the hotel from train station. If you agree to have your room made every 2nd or 3rd day, you get free snacks and drinks as extra - great way to be more sustainable.

Location is well placed for use of public transport (bus, train, motorway…) and shopping facilities. Taipei 101 shopping centre is 15 minutes away by public bus. The bus 226 is right in front of the hotel, just across the street. Convenient eating places are also just along or across the street.
