I have stayed in quite a number of hotels, including 5-star hotels (I have lifetime elite status in a specific chain). The Evergreen Laurel hotel is easily the best among all the hotels I have stayed in. Every hotel I stayed in previously always have something that is not ideal but not this hotel. The beds are comfortable, room is brightly lit (which is a big plus and super rare), a lot of good amenities are provided in the room (increasingly rare in post-covid world), shower water pressure is good, the water temperature is easy to set and remains consistent and the sound-proofing is good - I did not hear any noise from my neighbors (the hotel is full). The location is fantastic as well - I stayed a total of 5 nights and every location I plan to go to is easily reached from the hotel, either by bus or metro. There are two metro stations nearby - Songjiang Nanjing on the green line and Zhongxiao Fuxing on the blue line. Both are within walking distance though the latter is slightly further. There are multiple convenience stores nearby, as well as a Watsons and a Carrefour supermarket. The famous Leechi is right next door. The housekeeping standard is impeccable as well. Oh ya there are also coin-operated washing and drying machines in the hotel. I will definitely be back again when I return to Taipei!

This is a great hotel located about 4-5 mins walk from the MRT. The staff is very nice and efficient. A special thanks to Mr. Huang at the reception who helped us with a reservation at one of the Michelin-starred restaurants. The room was an upgrade and was quite large, comfortable and clean. With access to MRT and bus line, you can easily plan your route in and around Taipei. Upon entry in the lobby, there is a lounge area where you can sit and meet friends to relax from a long day before retiring to your room. Of interest, there are two bakeries nearby that can offer necessities for a quick breakfast coupled with a latte from 7-11 (inexpensive and quite good). We also had the hotel's breakfast buffet one day and it is very good as well as complete for Asian/Western styles. Laundry is possible with coin operated machines on two floors. All in all, a superb stay of 5 days and we certainly would return.

The staff always greet you in and out. It's quick to Ximinding and other areas. Spacious room, good wifi and sound proof. Recommend getting off at exit 4 at Songshan Naninjing (google is confusing) to be closer to the hotel from train station. If you agree to have your room made every 2nd or 3rd day, you get free snacks and drinks as extra - great way to be more sustainable.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was big, quite, clean and well maintained. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The location is excellent with a 5 min walk to the next MRT. A lot of coffee shops around, if you don't like to have breakfast every day in the hotel. Also a number of restaurants closed by.

Location is well placed for use of public transport (bus, train, motorway…) and shopping facilities. Taipei 101 shopping centre is 15 minutes away by public bus. The bus 226 is right in front of the hotel, just across the street. Convenient eating places are also just along or across the street.
